Father Stephen opened the carol service with prayer and Mrs Black led the children, parents and guests through carols and readings. Our Year 6 House Captains did a wonderful job of reading out the Christmas Story and each year group sang a carol to link with the readings: Year 3 It was on a starry night, Year 4 Little Donkey, Year 5 Away in a Manger and Year 6 We Three Kings. The whole school sang Midnight and This Christmas Time (a real tear-jerker) to the parents and visitors before they joined us altogether with singing Hark the Herald Angels Sing. What a wonderful whole-school celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and a fitting way to end 2023 at St Andrew's Junior School.
