Year 5 have been thoroughly enjoying immersing themselves into their Space topic this term - it is always a firm favourite topic every year! 

In Science, we have been learning about the phases of the moon and so in Art, we recreated the moon using chalk and charcoal. Last week, we used pencils and learnt how to draw a sphere, concentrating on drawing a shadow accurately. This week, we applied our sphere-drawing skills to create our moons. Our next mission was to create planets and we introduced coloured chalks.

We think our artwork looks amazing and they have brightened the walls of the portacabins.
