Spotlight on Year 5

Year 5 have been thoroughly enjoying immersing themselves into their Space topic this term - it is always a firm favourite topic every year! 

In Science, we have been learning about the phases of the moon and so in Art, we recreated the moon using chalk and charcoal. Last week, we used pencils and learnt how to draw a sphere, concentrating on drawing a shadow accurately. This week, we applied our sphere-drawing skills to create our moons. Planets are our next mission, where we will be introducing coloured chalks.

We think our moons look amazing and we can’t wait to put them on display!
