Year 5 Royal Observatory Visit
In October, Year 5 visited The Royal Observatory in Greenwich as part of their Autumn Term topic of Space. They took part in a workshop about the phases of the moon with an astronomer and watched an amazing planetarium show. Afterwards, they explored the rest of the observatory and got to see the huge Great Equatorial telescope! In Geography, they have been learning about hemispheres and lines of latitude and longitude. They were THRILLED to be able to stand with one fit on either side of the East and West hemisphere on the Prime Meridian line!
