'Food, Glorious Food' was the tasty theme of the 2026 Poetry Slam - our yearly celebration (and competition!) of poetry between St.Andrew's Junior School and Hatfield Peverel Infant School We welcomed a huge audience to listen to and savour a 'buffet' of food-themed poems. The children were judged on a range of performance areas including expression and interpretation. Mrs Parkes, lead judge, commented on the difficulty of her task this year and commended all the children on their enjoyment and willingness to speak publicly. A deliciously, scrumdidiliumptious well done to all involved!
